1.0: Course background and rationale:
Branding and packaging are important aspects that determine business growth and prosperity. They can indeed take business to more advanced national and international levels. Specifically, packaging on the other hand is a critical way of facilitating a product or service to penetrate markets. However, many people are not aware of both branding and packaging strategies. Moreover, even some of those who are aware of branding and packaging aspects do not take them serious. Consequently, this leads to business stagnation and demise. The objective of this course therefore is to equip participants with practical skills on branding and packaging in order to maintain business growth and markets, thereby ensuring business profitability and sustainability.


2.0: Learning content and outcomes: At the end of the course participants will be able to develop their brands/ trademarks, brand their business as well as be able to package and label well their products. They will specifically learn the following skills.
• Introduction to branding and packaging
• Principals of Branding
• Packaging and Labeling and Creation of basic marketing materials
• How to Improve Branding and Role of Legal aspect of Labeling
• 5 seconds effect on Branding and Influential colors in Branding
• Designing of Packaging & Labeling
• Types of Packages: Raw Materials and Efficient Packaging System
• Function of Packages and Labeling and its important of packaging
• Environmental Requirements for packaging and factors affecting packaging decision

3.0: Teaching methodology
The main facilitation techniques of the course include lectures, group discussions and presentations; but also discussion and analysis of real case studies.
4.0: Target group
Existing SMEs, Business Development Providers, Business Graduates

COURSE FEES
