Leadership Seminar for CBESO Leaders at Dodoma Campus

The Directorate of Students’ Services at Dodoma Campus organized a Leadership Seminar for CBESO leaders, which was held on 30th January 2026. The seminar was facilitated by Mr. Masumbuko Kossey, Assistant Lecturer from the Department of Business Administration and Quality Assurance Officer at Dodoma Campus. A total of 46 CBESO leaders attended the seminar.

The main objective of the seminar was to build a strong foundation of ethics, self-awareness, and effective leadership among student leaders to enhance their performance in student governance and service delivery.

The seminar covered the following key thematic areas:

• Ethical leadership, emphasizing integrity, honesty, and adherence to moral principles in leadership roles
• Leading by example, highlighting that leadership influence is derived from actions rather than position or words
• Development of emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-regulation, and understanding personal strengths and weaknesses
• Strategic communication and conflict resolution, focusing on active listening, empathy, and constructive feedback in managing diverse opinions
• Visionary leadership, encouraging leaders to identify desired changes within the College and develop practical steps to achieve them

The seminar was conducted through interactive presentations and discussions. CBESO leaders actively participated by asking questions and sharing their experiences, which enhanced their understanding of leadership practices and strengthened their capacity to serve students effectively in higher learning environments.
