Leadership Seminar for CBESO Leaders at Mwanza Campus
The Directorate of Students’ Services at Mwanza Campus, organised a Leadership Seminar for CBESO leaders, held on 31st March 2026 at the CBE Dar es Salaam Campus. The seminar was facilitated by Madam Emmy Chitalika (HOSA) and was attended by 65 CBESO leaders.
The main objective of the seminar was to strengthen leadership capacity among student leaders by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and ethical values required for effective student governance and responsible leadership.
The seminar covered the following key thematic areas:
- Meaning of leadership and its role in guiding and serving others
- Importance of leadership in institutions and student governance
- Leadership behavior, including qualities, ethics, traits, and expected conduct of leaders
- Responsibilities of student leaders within the College
- Balancing academic excellence with student leadership responsibilities
- CBESO elections and the way forward for student leadership
The seminar was conducted through interactive presentations and discussions. Participants actively engaged in the session by asking questions and sharing experiences, which enhanced their understanding of leadership principles. The session emphasized that leadership requires integrity, responsibility, and commitment, and that effective leaders must balance academic responsibilities with leadership duties while contributing positively to the student community.
