PRACTICAL TRAINING: ADVANCED MS WORD FOR SCHOLARS & INTERNET BASED RESEARCH METHODS

Course Description:
A carefully prepared and practical course for using advanced Microsoft word. This course will give you skills for writing using MS word, design online research tools, manage online data collection, and transfer data to other computer applications. The course will be taught through hands on approach.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course participants will be able to
 effectively write using MS word
 design online research tools
 manage online data collection,
 transfer data to other computer applications
Course Contents:
1. Customisation of interface & functions, page numbering and inserting
2. Developing your own shorthand, set headings and sub-headings
3. Spell and grammar checker, footnotes, researching and referencing
4. Customise & hide the ribbons, tabling, cross referencing, password and sharing
5. Manage table of contents, outlining, track changes and comments

Target Group:
This program is specifically to Postgraduate candidates, researchers, lecturers, and employees in the research & Development/Planning Department/ Unit in an organization or government offices.

Time: From 16:00 hours to 19:00 hours
Venue: College of Business Education (CBE), Dodoma Campus

Course Fees:
The course fee of TZS 120,000 covers costs of facilitation, training materials (stationery and other consumables), and venue during session. Participants/clients are expected to meet their transport costs to and from the venue, accommodation, healthcare and other allowances if applicable for participants. Payments should be done in advance. Please obtain a control number from CBE DODOMA CAMPUS before making your course fee payment.

Please complete the registration form and return it with the bank pay in slip to CBE by mail or physically at CBE DODOMA CAMPUS.

NOTE: Though this course is free for CBE staff; however, you need to communicate to confirm your Participation before course commencement to have a true number of participants

History of CBE

The COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION (CBE) was established in 1965 by the Act of the Parliament. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION Act No. 31 of 1965. His Excellency, J.K. Nyerere, the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania officially opened the new College in January 1965. The College was officially named the “College of Business Education” (CBE). The said Act of Parliament gives the College its legal status as an autonomous institution with its Governing Body. The College shall be governed and administered in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
