Rector, College of Business Education (CBE), Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, recently attend the Research4Life Global Partners Meeting in Geneva as they celebrated 25 years of expanding access to knowledge.
The opening remarks by Dr. Marco M. Alemán Assistant Director-General of WIPO and Dr. Meg Doherty, Director of Science for Health of WHO were a powerful reminder that equitable access to scientific knowledge is fundamental to innovation, research excellence, and sustainable development. Dr. Doherty’s reflection that access to knowledge is “an equalizer” particularly resonated with me.
“As Incoming Chair of the Research4Life Executive Council, I am proud to contribute to this global partnership that continues to strengthen research capacity, support evidence-informed decision-making, and create opportunities for researchers and institutions across low- and middle-income countries”. Said Prof. Lwoga
