The College of Business Education (CBE) visited Uhuru Mchanganyiko Primary School on April 22, 2026, to see and encourage teachers and students with various challenges, ahead of the Gender Day Celebrations on April 27, 2026.

The CBE Gender Desk Coordinator, Mr. Marco Stephano, introduced the CBE leadership and staff to the students, teachers, and school community upon arrival.
The Head Teacher of Uhuru Mchanganyiko Primary School, Mr. Ashraf Athuman, addressed the students, teachers, and CBE visitors. He thanked CBE leadership for the donations, saying they brought smiles to students with special needs, and praised the gesture as supporting the Sixth Phase Government's commitment to children with special needs.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, the Rector of CBE, explained that the visit was prompted by the recognition of the needs of certain students — particularly those with special needs and those coming from difficult backgrounds.
We have come with a few needs which include a Printer (Photocopy Machine) 1 PC, 20 Bedsheets, 20 liters of Cooking Oil, 20 kg of Sugar, 500g Washing Powder Soaps, Body Lotion, 55 kg of Rice, 3 Boxes of Sanitary Towels, 50 kg of Beans, 150 Brooms, and 3 Boxes of Socks.
Prof. Lwoga announced that CBE is exploring ways to bring entrepreneurship education to the children — to build their business knowledge and skills as part of supporting the Government's efforts to empower youth for the future of the nation, emphasising that every child has the right to equal educational opportunity.
