CPA Review Classes For May 2020 EXAMS at CBE

The College of Business Education wishes to inform the public that it is inviting ALL potential Candidates wishing to sit for CPA Examinations in May 2020 to register for Review Classes in ATEC I & II, FOUNDATION, INTERMIDIATE AND FINAL STAGES. The review classes will start on 09th January 2020 here at the College of Business Education, Dar es Salaam Campus and will be coordinated by the Accountancy Department.

MODE OF TRAINING
The college will conduct this training in two different modes depending on the choices of the learners. The program can be either be: -

i)    Evening program (Monday to Friday at 5.00pm -8.00pm)
ii)    Weekend program (Saturday and Sunday from 8.00am to 4.00pm)

ELIGIBILITY FOR CANDIDATE’S REGISTRATION FOR THE REVIEW PROGRAMMES 
Please note that the under listed entry Qualifications are as per the Board’s Professional Syllabus guidelines, 2014 as provided in the table below

1

Accounting

Technician I

i. Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least three credit passes and a pass grade in Mathematics and English Language OR

ii. National Business Examinations NABE Stage II with at least four passes plus a Certificate of Secondary Education OR

iii. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one principal pass and a subsidiary in relevant subjects but must have at least a pass in English and Mathematics at O-level secondary education OR

iv. A one year certificate from recognized Institution with a pass grade in English and Mathematics at “O” level prior to obtaining such a certificate. Such other certificates as may be recognized by the Board from time to time

2. Accounting Technician II

i. Accounting Technical Level I Statement of Success Letter

ii. A two-year diploma not majoring in accounting – NTA Level 6.

3  Foundation Level I

 i. NBAA’s Accounting Technician Certificate (ATEC)

ii. A two-year Diploma in Accounting/Accounting and Finance - NTA level 6.

iii. A degree from a recognized University/institution of higher learning (non-accounting)

Exemption shall be considered on subject to subject basis depending on candidate’s specialty.

 4  Intermediate Level

 i. Holder of NBAA’s Foundation Level Statement of Success Letter

ii. A degree majoring in Accounting/Accounting and Finance from a recognized University/Institution of Higher Learning.

5 Final Level Holder of NBAA Intermediate Level Statement of Success letter.

History of CBE

The COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION (CBE) was established in 1965 by the Act of the Parliament. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION Act No. 31 of 1965. His Excellency, J.K. Nyerere, the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania officially opened the new College in January 1965. The College was officially named the “College of Business Education” (CBE). The said Act of Parliament gives the College its legal status as an autonomous institution with its Governing Body. The College shall be governed and administered in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
