The Directorate of Students’ Services organized the exit meeting for finalist students at Mwanza campus on 29th May 2024, with 243 students in attendance. Key representatives from financial institutions such as NMB, Amana Bank Ltd, TaEsa, and NSSF, alongside inspirational alumni, were present to impart essential knowledge and advice. The meeting commenced with presentations from Ms. Waaya N. Riwa, Mr. Ignas Njau, and Mr. Adrian Mngonya of NSSF. They elucidated the process and benefits of NSSF membership, emphasizing eligibility criteria, required documentation, and the comprehensive advantages of social security and financial stability for future endeavors.
Following this, Mr. Ibraim Ally and Mr. Honest Tamba from AMANA Bank detailed the array of financial products available to students. They highlighted options such as school fees loans and other financial solutions tailored to ease the burden of educational expenses. Their presentation underscored the bank's commitment to supporting students in managing their finances effectively during their academic pursuits.
Ms. Evelyne Magambo, Manager-PFA at CBE Mwanza Campus, addressed the vital topic of financial management. Her session provided practical strategies on budgeting, saving, and wise investment practices. Ms. Magambo's guidance aimed to equip students with the skills necessary for maintaining financial stability throughout their academic journey and beyond.
Mr. Evans Mwashambwa, Campus Loan Officer, focused on student loans, outlining the application process, eligibility requirements, and essential documentation. His presentation aimed to demystify the complexities of loan applications and empower students with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions.
Lastly, Mr. Jonathan Johansen, Head of Admission and Examinations, navigated prospective students through the diverse academic programs offered at CBE. He detailed the qualifications required for admission, application procedures, crucial deadlines, and necessary documentation. Mr. Johansen's comprehensive overview aimed to guide students in making informed decisions about their educational pathways.
