Awareness Seminars on Gender-Based Violence

During the period under review, the Directorate of Students Services organized seminars on gender-based violence. One seminar was held on 17^th October 2024, and the facilitator was Ms Fortunata Scanda from …. A total of 289 students attended. Another seminar was held on 13th December 2024, and the facilitator was Ms. Oliverea Lea from ………, where 81 students attended. Among others, the seminars mainly covered the following significant issues:

• Meaning of gender-based violence
• Types of gender violence
• Why gender violence
• When and where to seek help if you experience GBV
• Relationship between GBV and leadership

Students responded very well to the topic, and they had time to ask gender-related questions, which the professionals answered.
