Awareness Seminar on National Youth Development Policy

During the third quarter, the Directorate of Students’ Services at Dodoma campus coordinated an awareness seminar on the National Youth Development Policy 2007 as amended in 2024. The seminar was held on 15^th February 2025 and attended by 250 students. The seminar was officially opened by the Campus Director, Dr. Kembo Bwana. The facilitator of the seminar was Mr. Omary Abdul Punzi, National Youth Development Coordinator from the Ministry of Labor, Youth and Development.

Among others, the following main topics in the policy were covered:

• Patriotism and National Values – Education on their importance and related protocol matters.
• National Youth Development Policy – Introduction, mission, objectives, and its role in guiding youth and stakeholders.
• Environmental Conservation – Encouraging youth to appreciate and actively participate in environmental protection for sustainable development.

Additionally, after the training, there was a practical exercise on tree planting within the Campus areas.  The tree planting was led by the Campus Director, the Dean Students, and the CBESO leaders.
