Students’ Participation in Global Leadership Summit

During the third quarter, the Directorate of Students’ Services at Mbeya Campus coordinated the participation of students in the Global Leadership Summit seminar took place on 27th March 2025. The seminar was organized by the Global Leadership Summit team, and the facilitators were Mr. Rodrick Nabe and Reverend. Fredy Chavala. The seminar was attended by 430 students.

The Global Leadership Summit seminar aimed to provide insights and leadership skills to make youth potentially impactful leaders in their communities and beyond.

The topics discussed included.

  • Effective Leadership: Key qualities and skills for becoming a successful leader.
  • Overcoming Failures: Learning from mistakes and using setbacks as opportunities for growth.
  • Emotional Intelligence in Leadership: How self-awareness and empathy impact leadership effectiveness.
  • Innovation and Change Management: Leading through change and fostering innovation.
  • Team Building and Collaboration: How to lead and work within diverse teams.
  • Ethical Leadership: Leading with integrity and accountability.
  • Time Management and Productivity: Techniques for effective leadership and self-management.

The seminar inspired and empowered students to apply these lessons in their academic, personal, and future professional lives, fostering a mindset of growth, collaboration, and ethical leadership.
