During the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the College of Business Education (CBE) held today, January 21, 2025, at the main campus in Dar es Salaam, the Rector of the College, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, delivered a visionary and hopeful speech for the institution.
Prof. Lwoga expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who have contributed to CBE’s journey of success, stating:
“The 60-year journey of CBE is a testament to our commitment to providing quality business and entrepreneurship education for national development. Today, we take pride in being a premier center of academic excellence, and our contribution to the national economy is evident.”
She highlighted the history of the institution since its inception, noting that CBE has continued to expand its reach with four campuses across the country, offering various programs designed to meet the demands of the job market and promote entrepreneurship.
Additionally, she outlined the college’s vision for the coming years, emphasizing the importance of innovation, scientific research, and international collaboration:
“Our 50-Year Vision focuses on various aspects, including strengthening CBE as an internationally recognized institution for excellence in business education, research, innovation, and public service, fostering a creative workforce, and offering curricula aligned with the needs of the African continent,” said Prof. Lwoga.
She added that the college is committed to improving infrastructure, enhancing digital education delivery, and increasing learning opportunities for Tanzanian youth.
