The Human Resources Department at the College of Business Education (CBE), through the Health Unit, organized an awareness seminar for staff about non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The seminar was led by health experts from Muhimbili Hospital, headed by Dr. Amina Mgunya. They spoke about how to prevent these diseases, the possible risks, and how such diseases can develop. Key topics discussed included understanding what non-communicable diseases are, and risky behaviors such as lack of exercise, being overweight, and having too much fat in the blood. In addition, participants had the chance to get free health check-ups during the seminar.
