The College of Business Education (CBE) continues to provide business incubation training to students at various stages with the aim of supporting the growth and development of start-up businesses in the country. This was stated today, May 14, 2025, by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Hon. Dr. Selemani Saidi Jafo (MP), while presenting the Budget Estimates for the 2025/2026 Financial Year in Parliament in Dodoma.
“By the end of March 2025, a total of 361 students had been enrolled in the training. Among them, 260 are in the pre-incubation stage, 75 in the incubation stage, and 26 in the post-incubation stage,” said Dr. Jafo. Additionally, Hon. Dr. Jafo stated that CBE has established and continued to implement incubation and apprenticeship programs with the aim of fulfilling the government’s vision of preparing youth to face the job market in the country. “In order to promote innovation in technology and ideas for new products under the Incubation Program, CBE has divided the training into three stages: Pre-Incubation, Incubation Stage, and Post-Incubation,” said Dr. Jafo.
In his speech, Hon. Dr. Jafo added, “To improve business education in the country, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, through CBE, plans to construct classrooms to expand teaching and learning infrastructure, including classrooms at the Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, and Mbeya campuses, and to build a lecture hall at the Mwanza campus in the 2025/2026 fiscal year.
