CBE RECEIVES LAND TITLE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF KILIMANJARO CAMPUS



The College of Business Education (CBE) has marked a significant milestone in its expansion journey after being officially handed a land title deed for the construction of its new Kilimanjaro Campus in Hai District, Kilimanjaro Region. The historic event took place on September 11, 2025, and was attended by CBE leaders, Hai District Council representatives, and community members from Shirinjoro village.

Official Handover of the Title Deed

The Hai District Executive Director, Hon. Dionis Myinga, led the official handover of the land title and presented it to the Acting Chairman of CBE’s Governing Board, Prof. Siasa Mzenzi. After receiving the deed, Prof. Mzenzi formally handed it over to the Rector of CBE, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, symbolizing the official beginning of the campus development project.

Words of Gratitude and the Vision Ahead

Speaking after the handover, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga expressed her gratitude to the Hai District Council and the people of Shirinjoro village for their contribution in making this milestone possible. She emphasized that the construction of the Kilimanjaro Campus is part of CBE’s long-term strategy to expand opportunities in business education and strengthen the institution’s role in national development.

On his part, the District Commissioner of Hai, Hon. Hassan Omary Bomboko, urged CBE leaders to ensure the project is executed efficiently and on schedule. He stressed that the new campus will not only benefit the youth of Kilimanjaro but will also contribute to Tanzania’s broader development goals.

Partnership with the Local Community

After the handover ceremony, the CBE leadership visited the construction site and held a meeting with representatives from Shirinjoro village. The village leaders extended their appreciation to CBE for choosing to invest in their area, noting that the project will create employment and drive socio-economic development for the entire community.

Prof. Siasa Mzenzi and Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga assured the residents that the new campus will become a pillar of education and economic growth for future generations.
