| Mini Statement | Richard Alphonce has been an Assistant Lecturer at the College of Business Education (CBE), Dodoma-Campus, Tanzania since July 2020. Before joining CBE, Mr. Alphonce worked at the University of Dodoma (UDOM) in the capacity of Tutorial Assistant (2008-2011) and Assistant Lecturer (2012- 2020) when he transferred to CBE in mid-2020. Mr. Alphonce attained his Bachelor’s Degree in science education (B.Ed [Sc.]) from the University of Dar es Salaam in 2007 and a master’s degree of Education in Science Education (M.Ed [Sc.]) from the same University in 2011. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Education program at the University of Dodoma. Mr. Alphonce’s areas of interest include pedagogical science, assessment, curriculum development, and teacher professional development. He has co-authored and published 1 scientific work, and 1 ‘language-supportive’ biology textbook—an exemplary textbook to support the learning of Form 1 and 2 secondary school students who learn science content through a second language (English). He has attended 2 international conferences and several local and institutional conferences and symposia. |
