Dr. Shima Dawson Banele is currently working as the Director of Academics at the College of Business Education, Tanzania. She is a renowned expert in education pedagogies, Business Studies, and the innovative use of technologies in teaching and learning; being possesses a strong background as a Mathematics teacher who dedicated her career to advancing STEM and Business Studies education strived to inspire the next generation of mathematicians, business and entrepreneurs’ leaders.

She had been the Education Officer across various districts, including Ubungo, Chalinze, and Mkinga. Dr. Banele has honed her skills in curriculum development, hands-on apprenticeship activities, and driving innovation through the College of Business Education hub. In research, her expertise spans a wide range of areas, including effective teaching methodologies, Mathematics didactics, integration of emerging technologies into the classroom, and the development of engaging STEM and Business Studies curricula. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and she is a sought-after speaker at educational conferences and symposia. Her dedication to transforming the educational landscape, empowering students, and guidance towards opportunities for under-represented groups has earned her widespread recognition and numerous accolades throughout her illustrious career.
