Master's Degree in Business Administration at the Mzumbe University, Tanzania.

Advanced Diploma in Accountancy at the Institute of Finance Management in Tanzania.

Diploma in Education at Dar es Salaam Teaching College (DTC).

Upendo has been employed at the College of Business Education (CBE) in Tanzania since the year 2015, where she holds the positions of Assistant lecturer, Consultant and Researcher. Upendo completed her diploma in Education at Dar es Salaam Teaching College (DTC). She subsequently pursued an advanced diploma in Accountancy at the Institute of Finance Management in Tanzania. She then pursued a master's degree in Business Administration at the Mzumbe University, Tanzania. Also, she is an Associate Certified Public Accountant recognized by The National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) in Tanzania. Upendo is now doing her PhD in Agribusiness at Sokoine University of Agriculture.
Upendo's research interests include the Business and Agribusiness contemporary issues, Finance management, and Accountancy She has published research papers and does consultancy works in mentioned field of interest
